While funding, revenue and jobs are nice metrics to help predict continued future success, the primary metric used to measure MassChallenge success in the short term is startup satisfaction. Hear what some of our alumni have to say about their MassChallenge experiences:
Satisfaction: Net Promoter Score
Nearly 80% of MassChallenge startups answered 9 or 10 out of 10 when asked how likely they are to recommend MassChallenge to another early-stage startup, and over 95% answered 7 or above. Based on public, comparative data, that places MassChallenge in the top 5 brands in the United States based on customer satisfaction and enthusiasm – above great companies like Apple, Amazon and Trader Joe’s.
Mentorship: "I met one of my most helpful mentors through MassChallenge. They have always been there when we need advice, and they happen to be a MassChallenge Alumni!" - Windsor Hanger, Her Campus, 2011 Gold Winner
Community: "MassChallenge is focused on bringing together the startups within the competition. Startup issues are industry agnostic and having people that understand the up's and down's is huge motivation." - Sara Gragnolati, Cocomama Foods, 2011 Gold Winner
Education: "You can take all the books on startups that you’ve read in the last two or three years, and many of the authors of those books or publications were there and talk to us. It was really a mini graduate degree in startups.” - Cliff Culver, OnDeckBiotech, 2012 Silver Winner
- Support: “Our MassChallenge experience has been like going to a startup buffet, where you walk in have in and have all these amazing opportunities in front of you, and in a low pressure scenario, you can decide what you need at a specific moment.” - Mario Bollini, GRIT, 2012 Diamond Winner
