Q) Why is the character limit so low. It's impossible to answer question X with such little space.
A) We agree that to fully answer some of the questions may require more space. However, in order for the judges to be able to read all of the applications we receive we must keep the application size down to a reasonable size. Remember that this is merely the first round, and in round 2 you give an in person pitch, giving you opportunity to be more detailed on your answers.

Please clarify the early bird application deadline
Does the application need to be completely filled out by March 31st @ noon to meet the early bird deadline or do we just need to pay by then?
Looking at this direction below, it seems as though we have until 4/11 to complete it. Please clarify.

Step 2: Create your Application
You may not proceed to this step until you have registered (Step 1) and are logged in. Your application will automatically be submitted for judging at 12 noon EST on April 11 as long as you have paid the entry fee (Step 4). Note that you will be able to edit your application until the deadline, even after you have paid.

In order to qualify for the early bird price you to have a saved application and paid through paypal. To save the application and pay you must at least complete the first page. You will however have until April 11 to make changes and finalize the content.
Can one applicant be a co-founder of 2 separate ideas?
Q) I'm part of two different proposals and would like to apply for both of them. I have different co-founders for each. Can I submit a separate application for both? Also, what are the terms if both ideas are chosen?

Will I be required to pay double the fee for 2 ideas? How do I submit multiple applications?
You will have to pay for each
You will have to pay for each application. To create a second application simply create a new username and fill out the application as you did for the first.
Company Status
Q) Does one need to have a company already established or on file with a federal or national registry, or is the strong intent to start a company with our given idea enough to participate in the Mass Challenge?
Anyone can apply
Many of our entrants are idea stage. You can enter even if you are not incorporated.
