About

EPC aims to enable high capacity DC underground power transmission. Two inventions underpin this effort: (1) elpipes are segmented, wheel-mounted underground high capacity transmission lines, which roll into a conduit resembling a natural gas pipeline; (2) ballistic DC circuit breakers address a common problem that has been limiting deployment of multi-terminal DC grids of all types, including overhead lines, cable networks and other underground options, and even shipboard systems.
