Our vision scanner, developed at Boston Children’s and Johns Hopkins, automatically detects the leading cause of vision loss in children. Amblyopia affects 5% of the world’s population, and is irreversible if not corrected early. Pediatricians, unable to detect amblyopia, needlessly refer millions of kids for eye exams Still, half of all cases are diagnosed too late, costing insurers over $1B annually. In clinical trials our 3 second scan, on kids as young as age 2, was nearly 100% accurate.
