About

The introduction of captioned TV in 1980 launched the beginning of "personalization": the addition of data for enhancement of technologies from desktop applications to broadcast TV, from movies in theaters to DVDs, to Web-based media, electronic textbooks, and more. Wherever software, text, images, audio or video are found, personalization enables expanded usage by people with disabilities, speakers of alternate languages, e-book and mobile device users -- anyone wanting their media, their way.
