Based on the same proven model as the MassChallenge Boston and UK accelerator programs, MassChallenge Israel launched in Jerusalem in January 2016.
MassChallenge Israel connects high-impact early stage startups from all over the world with mentors, partners and investors – while providing free no-strings-attached support during the 4-month accelerator period in Jerusalem.
Your company must be a seed- or early-stage startup. As we define it, this means you probably haven’t raised over $500K of investment, and probably don’t have more than $1M in annual revenue. You can still apply if you exceed these guidelines – a special judging panel will review your application to determine if you are 'early stage.'
From Globes: “The MassChallenge figures are impressive. Since it was founded, in 2010, graduates of the program have raised some $472 million for 489 companies that they founded. They have already generated about $194 million revenue, and the total value of the companies is over $2 billion. 3,928 jobs have been created as a result of the accelerator's activity, two thirds of them in the state of Massachusetts.”
From Times Of Israel: “Massachusetts is home to an amazing array of start-ups and our entrepreneurial ecosystem is one of the strongest in the nation,” said Governor Deval Patrick, announcing the finalists. “Through programs like MassChallenge, Massachusetts is able to extend an open invitation for the world’s highest-impact, highest-potential start-ups to grow their ideas in our commonwealth.”
