For manufacturing companies, downtime is expensive. When machines fail, companies lose millions every hour that their plant has stopped. They mitigate this risk by stockpiling all the spare parts that they may need but this method is very wasteful. 30% of all parts inventory (value >$1 Tn) is obsolete. machIQ offers a less expensive on-demand buying model to achieve the same outcome. Customers can also identify & reduce their obsolete inventory and sell them to buyers on our P2P marketplace.

Did you know that 1 million children die needlessly every single year due to being born prematurely? What if I told you that according to the WHO 75% of these deaths could be prevented with simple treatments such as incubation. Current incubators are incredibly large, needlessly complicated and expensive. MOM is an inflatable incubator, created to dramatically decrease the size of traditional incubators whilst being available at 1/30th of the cost and retaining all the necessary features.

Whether delivering a package for FedEx, carrying luggage for the TSA or just lifting in a warehouse, $50 Billion is spent compensating injuries from workers who lift incorrectly. Strong Arm Technologies, Inc. has developed an elegant solution to those expenditures. The Strong Arm Vest takes the forces of a load and disperses them to stronger more stable areas of the lifters torso, in doing so it constrains the user into a proper ergonomic lifting posture. Workers lift safer and with less effort.

Parents unable to console crying babies can become anxious and discouraged, which can weaken the parent-baby bond. Witnessing their heartache inspired a maternity nurse to design Tranquilo Mat to soothe babies in seconds by mimicking the womb’s familiar sounds and motions including gentle vibrations, whooshing, and heartbeats. The mat is a portable and versatile solution, usable anywhere, even in parents’ arms. Tranquilo creates happier families and a more peaceful world, one baby at a time.

At Six Foods, we make healthy, delicious, and sustainable foods with insects. We use crickets milled into a flour to make high protein tortilla chips (Chirps) that are familiar to Americans. We want to normalize insect foods, starting with snacks to meat. The goal is to substitute animal protein with insect protein, thus converting livestock farming to insect farming. By doing so, we will reduce land & water usage, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Lack of mobility still the biggest barrier for independent life for the close to 300 million visually impaired people in the world. As current tools don't solve the problem entirely, we developed the Sunu band, a sonar bracelet that gently informs the user of obstacles in their way, making their mobility safer and easier. Product was field tested with leader authorities, manufactured and introduced to the market on October 2018.

Aquaculture is the fastest growing animal sector and is one of the best sources of protein to accommodate the world’s growing population of 9 billion by 2030. At the same time, the world’s natural fisheries are in decline and fish farming is unsustainable currently. KnipBio's high-yield proprietary fermentation technology offers a more economical, healthier and sustainable alternative than today's approaches.

Power plants have been stuck using the same inefficient condensers for decades. Putting a hydrophobic coating on these condensers would save millions of dollars in fuel and thousands of tons of CO2 every year for each power plant. Until now there hasn’t been a coating that survives long enough while providing good thermal performance. We invented and patented a durable hydrophobic coating at MIT and invented a way to manufacture it at an industrial scale.

Power meters are a training and performance tracking tool for cyclists; think of it as a super Fitbit for cyclists. While they've become essential for elite cyclists, their high price (often well over $1,000) prevents mainstream fitness cyclists from using power data to train smarter and ride faster.

We’re Ashton Instruments and we’ve developed a new sensor technology that lets us build a power meter that’s finally affordable to the entire fitness cycling market.

Anfiro is developing ultra high-permeability membranes for water purification. Our step increase in membrane permeability results in transformative cost reductions by enabling small-scale cost effective systems. The massive footprint reduction translates into large CAPEX savings, while the lower operating pressure results in a decreased energy requirement and associated operating cost. Anfiro's ultra-high permeability membranes are enabling clean and affordable water for a better tomorrow.

Fouling - deposition of ash on surfaces of boilers affects coal and biofuel powered power plants. Deposits reduce energy transfer from the combustion fuel to heated water and steam. In a typical base load boiler losses due to fouling top 5%, $25 million annually. Today there is no fouling sensing technology to direct cleaning of the boiler, driving up maintenance costs and inefficiencies. Our technology can directly measure the fouling buildup and create a close loop to optimize cleaning.
