Why 128? We have 128 startups this year as a tribute to the historical Route 128, underscoring the continued innovation renaissance in Boston. The 128 startups hail from 18 U.S. states and 11 international locations, and span all industries including high tech, clean tech and energy, healthcare and life sciences, general and consumer products, and social impact.

We asked some of the new Finalists how excited they were to join us at our HQ this Summer and how they felt about the Announcement, here’s what they said:

Upon recieving their own acceptance email, Finalist DrinkSavvy stated they felt “complete elation; excited and humbled all at the same time, what I took away from today’s Announcement was experiencing contacts and resources – being around people who have done it before. I learned you don’t have to reinvent the wheel to succeed”.

With an awesome community of Amplifiers, Connectors, Trendspotters, and Mavens, there aren’t enough words to describe how enthusiastic we are for the Summer. All we can do now is – engage!
