From Dallas to Boston: How MassChallenge’s 2025 Climate Cohort is Reshaping Our Planet’s Future

What happens when you bring together 30+ game-changing climate startups from across the globe, connect them with expert mentors, and plug them into two of the most dynamic innovation ecosystems in the U.S.? You get the 2025 MassChallenge Climate Accelerator, a powerhouse of climate innovation that just wrapped an intensive eight-week program.

A Bi-Coastal Innovation Experience

The program launched in Dallas at EarthX, one of the world’s largest green expos, and reached its midpoint in Boston at Greentown Labs, the largest climate tech incubator in North America. From start to finish, startups were immersed in mentorship, workshops, and peer support, tailored to the challenges they identified as most pressing.

Each founder was matched with three hand-picked mentors, ensuring targeted guidance in areas like commercialization, investor readiness, and scaling operations. Two industry veterans, Sheri Palazzo and Evan Taylor, served as Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs), leading workshops on writing SBIR grants and facilitating a Female Founder Forum to support the women driving climate innovation.

Meet the 2025 Climate Cohort

These startups span continents and industries, but they share one goal: accelerating sustainable impact.

Sustainable Food & Agriculture

Renewable Energy & Carbon Management

  • Clean Carbon (Denmark): Bioreactors to remove CO₂ and purify wastewater.
  • H2C Energy (Massachusetts): AI-driven electrolyzers for affordable green hydrogen.

Circular Economy & Urban Solutions

  • Ebusaka (Zambia): “Trash for Cash” waste management innovation.
  • EcoKaari (India): Fashion from handloomed recycled plastic.

Cross-Industry Climate Tech

  • Perlo (Norway): AI tools to reduce emissions and cost overruns in construction.

Real Support, Real Results

More than mentorship and networking, this program was about tactical support. Startups walked away with:

  • De-risked commercialization strategies
  • Grant-ready applications for climate R&D
  • Enhanced investor narratives
  • Deep connections across continents

Why It Matters Now

With climate change accelerating, early-stage innovation must lead the charge. The MassChallenge Climate Accelerator is designed to fast-track real-world solutions, zero equity required. From AI to agriculture, energy to air quality, these startups are building the future of our planet, today.
