Our finalists were thrown into a busy first week with Boot Camp, which took place from June 26th – July 2nd.Foley & Lardnersponsored our Boot Camp events designed to educate, inspire, and level the playing field for our startups.
On Monday, we met at the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT)where Michael Skok (North Bridge Venture Partners) educated our startups about how to fundraise effectively. The keynote was followed by a funding options panel featuring key MassChallenge sponsors and funding success stories by MassChallenge alumni.

On Tuesday, David Friend ofCarboniteand Michael Troiano,Chief Marketing Officer atActifio, discussed useful marketing techniques atFoley & Lardner.
Our final day of Boot Camp featured a motivating keynote titled “Go Hard or Go Home” by Jeff Taylor, Founder ofMonster.com. The inspiration was followed by advice on how to create a powerful pitch by Stuart Paap.

Mentor Matching Connections

The Boot Camp events were followed by numerous mentor matching sessions in the evening. The finalists and mentors attended high-speed “speed dating” events based on their industry.
