On July 13th, we launched the Startup Hub in collaboration with Facebook Mexico.

What does this mean? What is Startup Hub?

The goal of StartHub is to contribute to the reduction of the existing skills gap in the digital economy. The program supports organizations that apply digital tools to help and develop more well-informed communities, skills in digital economy, and the use of data for the common good.

Education for Talent and Data for Good

On May 3rd, we opened the application season for Startup Hub Mexico. Education for Talent and Data for Good were the two main branches of the selection of startups in the program. The first one is related to train talent for the new digital economy and to connect startups with talented people who could become their future coworkers.

Data for Good aims to implement new technology and work alongside partners to generate more productive outcomes for communities. In addition, startups get to integrate Facebook solutions to strengthen their business model.

Startups selected will have benefits such as a tailor-made 16-week sprint program coordinated by MassChallenge. During this period, startups will get orientation from mentors, speakers, and workshops. In case startups need to improve their core business, this program helps them find the best solution.

They will also have access to “Facebook for developers”, a specialized tool designed by Facebook that helps startups to adapt their services in this social media.
