Morning Jo: The Busy Month Ahead!

My first Awards Ceremony was in 2011, and I went as a guest of Claudia Espinola from CasaCouture. I was her lead mentor, and she graciously invited me to sit at her table. She was named one of the $50,000 winners that night, and I was so proud of her. She was beaming with pleasure, and she deserved every accolade she got. I remember thinking it was a really terrific evening, with lots of buzz and excitement in the air, but I have to say I wasnt really paying much attention to how the show was executed. It just kind of flew by me.

The next year, in 2012, I was behind the scenes working at MassChallenge and running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to keep up with all the details of running a smooth show flow. It was insane, but exhilarating.

Now were heading to the 2014 Awards Ceremony, and this will be my fourth total and my third as a part of the planning team. Everyone on the MassChallenge team plays a role in the planning of the Awards Ceremony. It is a truly collaborative effort all hands on deck! Right now, we are just getting started with our planning lists and task sheets, but very soon and as the weeks get closer to the big day, its going to get crazy busy. From the AV to the speeches to the program guide, videos, and even the Voice of God, we do it all. Im excited but nervous to dive in!

2014 Awards Ceremony here we come!
