FAQs
The program itself carries no participation fee. Selected companies are responsible for covering their own U.S. visit costs, including travel, lodging, meals, and any professional services required, for each of the three in-person immersions. Selected companies will need to show proof of flights and hotels in advance of the January Kickoff.
Yes, consistent founder and/or senior executive participation is required. At least one founder or senior executive must commit to attending all three in-person visits in 2027: Boston in January, San Diego in March, and Philadelphia in June.
Not for the inaugural cohorts. The Israel cohort is open only to companies incorporated and operating in Israel; the Taiwan cohort is open only to companies headquartered in Taiwan.
Israel and Taiwan are the program’s inaugural partners. Additional countries have not been confirmed yet. Government and innovation agencies interested in participating in the 2027-28 Breakthrough Bio program can contact our team at partnerships@masschallenge.org.
