a Sales Operations Coordinator to join our expanding Growth Team. You’ll be the team's utility player, the first point of contact for potential partners, and support lead generation of partners for MassChallenge.

As the Sales Operations Coordinator, you will be focused on supporting MassChallenge as we become the top community for startup and corporate collaboration. You will support the Chief Growth Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development’s priorities focused around partnerships and revenue generation. Your time will be spent 50% on revenue and corporate research and 50% on administrative duties. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow into future positions in the sales and corporate innovation industries.

What You’ll Do

  • Create new B2B sales opportunities by researching prospects, updating Salesforce, and supporting other scraping of data for partner lead generation.
  • Coordinate the Chief Growth Officers schedule and meetings. Support additional administrative support including making travel arrangements, logging expenses, and managing correspondence.
  • Draft, edit, and contribute to the creation and management of partnership proposals.
  • Manage agenda, reports, and schedule of Growth and Partnership Team meetings. Ensuring people are prepared and on-time for those meetings.
  • Assist with preparation for and advise the Chief Growth Officer on speaking events, engagement activities, fundraising opportunities, and special projects.
  • Help drive organizational transparency by communicating Chief Growth Officer’s priorities to the team.
  • Support MassChallenge Inc. in achieving its aggressive revenue goal for 2018.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Minimum 2-4 years of work experience (Working in a startup environment and having experience with organization and partnerships are not required but a big plus).

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage all aspects of corporate relationships with corporate development, strategy, and innovation teams. This includes planning events like Demo Days, coordinating sponsor office hours, and integrating sponsors and partners into the startup community through key individual introductions and premium interactions with marquee community events.

The Partnerships Account Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the corporate engagement in the program and ensuring their relationships with startups drive meaningful results.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive relationship management for the FinTech lab as lead partnerships manager, looking after approximately 15-20 partners representing $2-3M in revenue
  • Serve as key advisor to partners regarding startup collaboration strategy and ensure that partners are meeting the milestones and goals of the program
  • Assist partners in designing and developing “challenges” or pain points within their business that they want to actively engage with startups to solve

The Program Coordinator will support every key activity of the flagship MC Boston program. The coordinator will support accelerator operations, in addition to Mentorship, Startup Services, and Site Services. The position will be responsible for the delivery and execution of accelerator activities including judging, customer service, marketing, site support, and event-related operations. The Coordinator will report to the Program Director and will work closely with the Startup Services Manager, the Mentorship Manager, Site Manager, and the MADE@ Manager.

Main Responsibilities

Curriculum, Program Operations, & Site:

  • Support all accelerator-related activities, including curriculum, programming, mentorship, startup services, MADE@ and site services
  • Collaborate with MassChallenge team members in partnerships, marketing, operations, events, and mentorship to ensure effective service delivery and to integrate the larger MC team into our strategy
  • Schedule and coordinate curriculum sessions, including session scheduling, room logistics, speaker management, and speaker/startup follow-up
  • Support MC Boston Judging, including startup scheduling & coordination, site logistics and planning, and team coordination
  • Support Site Services, including daily space management, ticket management, building coordination, and inventory/vendor management
  • Support the Site Manager by monitoring, coordinating and recommending external events & tours hosted in the space
  • Provide support and materials for external events and tours hosted by MassChallenge

Startup Services & Customer Service:

  • Work with Startup Services Manager to control and manage the distribution of the space and seat assignment for staff and startups
  • Work with the Startup Services Manager to build, design and apply efficient startup support systems prior to and during the accelerator
  • Work with the Startup Services Manager to develop and manage communications (newsletter, social) to startups throughout the Boston Program

Mentorship:

  • Support Investor Relations program through planning and management of all logistics, demo days, and meetings
  • Support Mentorship Manager with office hour execution and logistics
  • Work with Mentorship Manager to develop and manage communications (newsletter, social) to mentors, judges, and other stakeholders throughout the MC Boston Program

Skills and Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in events, operations, and/or marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as accuracy and attention to detail

MassChallenge seeks an energetic, entrepreneurially minded Front Desk Coordinator for our Boston, MA flagship office.

The Front Desk Coordinator is the first person that visitors, sponsors, mentors and entrepreneurs meet when entering our space. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks to ensure that our Boston operations run smoothly. This position will also provide the Managing Director with daily direct support for scheduling, administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

The Front Desk Coordinator is a highly visible role and will frequently use troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to attend to visitor and internal staff needs. S/he must possess a high standard of work and customer service, be comfortable in a multitasking environment, pay close attention to detail and embrace challenging situations with confidence and a positive outlook.  The Front Desk Coordinator will report directly to the Site Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direct support to the Managing Director with scheduling, administrative tasks and special projects as needed
  • Manage general company email inquiries and direct them to the appropriate parties
  • Manage check-in kiosk and ensure that all data is correct and up-to-date
  • Answer MassChallenge main phone line and direct inquiries to the appropriate parties; relay messages when needed
  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable
  • Notify staff of visitors and direct guests to their meeting room
  • Ensure reception area is tidy
  • Troubleshoot and route basic questions, issues, and requests from visitors, resident teams, and internal staff
  • Schedule and support office tours and event requests in collaboration with the Site Operations Manager
  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of office
  • Collect and distribute parcels and other mail

Skills and Attributes Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 1-2 years working in a similar type role; experience with the startup environment a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, juggle multiple tasks, and organize time effectively
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both in groups and individually to achieve goals and to develop effective working relationships with staff and external constituents
  • Commitment to providing high quality customer service through responsiveness to all requests and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
  • Conscientious approach to work with the ability to meet tight deadlines, anticipate needs and be proactive in order to resolve issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in the use of software (Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) while also quickly learning systems and processes specific to MassChallenge
  • Demonstrated passion for helping startups and a deep connection and interest in the global entrepreneurial community

The primary goal of this role is to help MassChallenge Mexico startups maximize their impact through the programs they participate in. The Entrepreneur in Residence will lead by example multiple startups from diverse industries achieving high level commitment from them with the program, will serve as a leading mentor for them and will enhance and develop relationships between corporate partners and key stakeholders that empower and strengthen the participant startups.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maximize the impact of the participant startups

 

    • Work with the Startup Success Manager to deliver the best curriculum and solutions for the participant startups that will impact positively in the market positioning of their product
    • Identify key opportunity areas and possible solutions to help startups resolve their most pressing needs
    • Due to its experience, be able to lead by example and responsibly advice startups to help them grow.
    • Help participant startups to understand their value proposition and solve “big & real problems” while achieving sustainability for their businesses.
    • Help startups to understand their customer needs and design solutions that fit their problems, avoiding design-reality gaps

 

  • Achieve high level commitment of the startups with the programs

 

    • Work with the Startup Success Manager to ensure the participant startups are able to follow their working plan, having strategic KPIs to measure their performance and the impact of the program on their business.
    • Enhance the accountability of the startup process during the acceleration process having clear metrics that demonstrate the growth and impact of being part of MassChallenge program.
    • Foster the collaboration and shared solution processes between the startups to promote the development of collaborative solutions between participant startups.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in the entrepreneurial ecosystem
  • Proven record of developing businesses and achieving high-impact results through strategic decision-making processes that lead to successful and sustainable businesses
  • Strong commitment to achieve high-impact results in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Ability to lead multicultural and industry agnostic diverse teams
  • Degree: MBA or Graduate degree a plus
  • The successful candidate must have consulting and project management experience
  • Strong understanding of the external market, competitive landscape, and trends that impact our business.
  • Strong understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, its decision drivers and
  • Exceptional relationship skills, negotiating skills, and the ability to build rapport with internal and external constituencies.
