Applications Open Today for First Bridge to MassChallenge Australia

Bridge to MassChallenge Australia will provide training and privileged access to the MassChallenge global network for entrepreneurs and key stakeholders throughout Australia. Together with six founding partners including The Commonwealth of Australia, the Government of Victoria, the Government of South Australia, the Government of New South Wales, Microsoft, and Monash University, Bridge to MassChallenge will also work with local partners to support Australian entrepreneurs with no strings attached.

Bridge to MassChallenge Australia leverages its proven model to identify and support the most impactful startups and to connect them with resources they need to thrive. In collaboration with local partners, selected startups will receive training with expert mentors, and access to the MassChallenge global network for entrepreneurs and key stakeholders throughout Australia to help startups accelerate their growth.

The programme includes a nationwide startup competition to identify the highest-impact and highest-potential startups in Australia. Selected startups will receive intensive mentorship and training at one of the boot camps in Melbourne, Sydney, or Adelaide. Based on the results of the boot camps, Australian and MassChallenge global judges will then select the top startups to participate in a national pitch competition and awards ceremony. The identified winners from the national pitch competition will advance to a five-day boot camp in Boston where winning teams will then be fast-tracked to compete for a spot in a MassChallenge accelerator program in Boston, Israel, the UK, Switzerland, or Mexico.

We are so excited to work with incredible Australian entrepreneurs? and connect them to our global network across the U.S., Europe, Israel, Latin America?, and beyond, said Mike LaRhette, MassChallenge President. As a not-for-profit, our only aim is to add value and exchange best practices with the local ecosystem to put entrepreneurs first and create impact that helps the whole community. Were looking forward to getting started today.

Australia represents a unique opportunity for MassChallenge, given its strategic positioning in Asia-Pacific, its cultural and historical connections to MassChallenge hubs in the United States and United Kingdom, and the energy and momentum of its entrepreneurial ecosystems. Australia will join a strong and ever-growing roster of Bridge to MassChallenge partners in France, Spain, Korea, Mexico, Morocco, and Colombia.
