TEL AVIV – Ingram Micro Inc and MassChallenge Israel announced the Tel Aviv finalists and winner of the 2019 Comet 2.0 Competition, a global startup program to identify leading cloud service startups. Winning startups will compete for a million dollars and will be integrated into the Ingram Micro global marketplace. All finalists win additional Go To Market Funding. The Comet Competition took place, simultaneously, in 16 cities across the world. Over 4,000 startups around the world vied to be part of the competition.
“Israel is on the cutting edge of technology and to remain at the top of our market, Ingram Micro is thrilled to connect with this country’s leading startups,” said Nimesh Dave, Executive Vice President Global Cloud Computing at Ingram Micro. “Ingram Micro chose MassChallenge Israel because of its track record as a leader in finding and pinpointing the most relevant Israeli companies for our global enterprise network.”
“We know this process is transformative for companies,” said Yonit Serkin, Managing Director MassChallenge Israel. “The Ingram Micro Comet Competition can radically affect the trajectory of startups. We have seen the significant impact and growth last year’s winners have experienced. Having access to a network with over 300,000 potential customers is life-changing for a startup.”
The Comet Competition teaches ISVs how to purpose-build for the IT channel and how to commercialize their technology.
