MassChallenge’s goal for this program alongside partners 401 Tech Bridge, BAE Systems, and MITRE BlueTech Lab is to convene maritime leaders with startups that have the tools and ideas to enhance capabilities and address security challenges in maritime environments, resulting in a more effective defense strategy.
The six-week sprint is designed to support strategic industry exposure with defense procurement offices, government agencies and investors. Innovators will have unparalleled access to experts, mentorship and a tightly knit BlueTech community and alumni network. The BlueTech Sprint will culminate in an in-person showcase in Boston, MA on November 16th, 2023.
“BlueTech is an area of innovation MassChallenge has been especially committed to supporting over the last three years. To some it may seem like a narrow topic, but the related technologies are critical to solving some of the world’s most significant challenges. The BlueTech Sprint program allows us to converge maritime and defense experts in industry, investment, and the public sector to facilitate growth for high impact startups,” said Will Magruder, Vice President of Partnerships at MassChallenge. “Our continued work in this sector alongside our partners builds crucial bridges between startups and innovators to help support the blue economy.
