MassChallenge also announced the launch of MassChallenge Mexico, its fifth accelerator program globally, which will be located in Mexico City. Camila Lecaros has been appointed as the new Managing Director for MassChallenge Mexico. Applications will open for MassChallenge Mexico May 19th.
This is our seventh accelerator cycle here in Boston and were excited to recruit another incredible group of high-impact startups, said MassChallenge Boston Managing Director, Scott Bailey. Were also proud to see the growing MassChallenge network, with locations in five countries on three continents helping startups on a massive scale.
Mexico and Latin America have so much entrepreneurial talent and energy. MassChallenge Mexico will add depth and variety to our global network of accelerators and our growing pool of startups, said MassChallenge Founder and CEO John Harthorne. Its amazing for me to see what was once a small startup itself grow with so much speed to be able to support startups truly on a global scale.
To help guide MassChallenge in its expansion, Diane Hessan, CEO of Startup Institute, has been appointed to the MassChallenge Global Board of Directors.
