(Boston, MA, February 22, 2023) – For the last 12 years, MassChallenge has supported over 4,000 startups going on to raise well over $9B in funding. MassChallenge has offices in Boston, Houston, and Dallas and operates in 18 other countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe, empowering local communities with entrepreneurship.
For startups eager to apply to the MassChallenge 2023 US Early-Stage program, application submissions are due by March 1, 2023. The program provides startups and founders access to corporate partners like IBM, BAE Systems, Carta, Fundify, First Republic Bank, and community and ecosystem partners, including Venture Café Providence, MassBio, Black Ambition Prize, Houston Downtown Launchpad, Pegasus Park, and Biolabs.
Startups can learn from these expert partners with one-to-one mentorship opportunities, regular pitch collider events, and office hours to help startups scale the growth of their ventures. Program applicants can be innovators in Climate, Sustainable Food, Safety, Security, Health, or Social Impact industries. However, because the MassChallenge US early-stage program is industry-agnostic, startups do not have to fall into one of these buckets to apply.
By design, the non-profit, no-equity, community-driven MassChallenge mission and model provide equitable access to the resources, community, and connections founders need to drive real impact for their startups.

Amy VanHaren, MassChallenge alumni, Founder, and CEO of pumpspotting, a recipient of a $100,000 award handed out on February 16, 2023, at the MassChallenge RESOLVE awards event, shared, “Five years ago, I entered the Mass Challenge accelerator with little more than a big vision for my company. The experience gave us knowledge, resources, founder community, access to capital, amazing mentors, and a boatload of cheering on, which helped us truly take key steps toward bringing our vision to life.” Her startup provides software and experiences helping companies create baby-feeding havens for employees, customers, students, and visitors.
The program will support approximately 200 startups, from those currently engaged in customer discovery work to those validating a technology or service. Applicants can submit their application today or join one of our office hours events to learn more.
