MassChallenge Israel Unveils Top 10 Startups

The top ten will vie for 1 million NIS in no-equity cash prizes to be determined and distributed by a final judging panel of Israel-based industry experts and leaders. Cash winners will be announced at the MassChallenge Awards on November 9th, co-hosted with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Its been a remarkable journey to have witnessed our startups grow, fundraise, and even pivot throughout the accelerator, said Israel Ganot, MassChallenge Israel Managing Director. Our judges selected top-notch startups, which represent some of the most cutting-edge technologies across IoT, healthcare, tourism, foodtech and social impact. Im thrilled to be celebrating this milestone and achievement together with the Israel innovation ecosystem on November 9th.

Over the past four months, the 2016 Israel first batch has been working with mentors to refine their businesses, connecting with corporate and nonprofit organizations to explore partnership opportunities, and attending workshops to learn more about product/market fit, pitching, and fundraising. Now, the top ten will take what theyve learned and put it into action to impress industry experts.

More than 500 innovation leaders from the Israeli ecosystem are anticipated to attend the November 9th event to celebrate the winners. The MassChallenge Awards will also welcome IBM Watson General Manager Deborah DiSanzo as the keynote speaker. DiSanzo is the General Manager for IBM Watson Health, the business unit founded to support IBMs next “moonshot: to advance health at a global scale. As the top executive for Watson Health, Deborah leads 7,000 IBMers worldwide from the units headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
