June 2nd, 2025 (London, United Kingdom) – MassChallenge UK, part of the global MassChallenge network, proudly announces the 41 early-stage startups selected for the 2025 accelerator programme.
This year’s cohort represents the top 8% of global applicants, chosen by nearly 400 independent experts from across the MassChallenge Switzerland & UK communities. Each startup received tailored feedback from the judging process to strengthen their value proposition.
The selected startups span 13 countries and are united by a strong commitment to delivering impact (emissions removed, lives saved, safety & resilience, etc.). They represent a diverse range of industries and will participate in a 4-month programme structured into five industry-specific tracks.
MassChallenge UK is running its third cohort, now supporting 28 startups around AI & Autonomy, building on a new partnership with BAE Systems. In addition, 13 startups from diverse sectors — including healthtech, foodtech, agtech, and climate tech — will benefit from the acceleration programme in London.
A Programme Designed for Growth
The 2025 accelerator combines in-person events (bootcamp, mid-programme, and finale) with an online curriculum of expert-led workshops and lectures. Startups will benefit from world-class mentorship, networking with corporates and investors, free co-working space, and tailored support.

Cooled Motors ltd (United Kingdom): Cooled Motors is revolutionising electric vehicle powertrains with CoolShaft™, a patented internal shaft cooling system that boosts efficiency, cuts motor size and weight, and eliminates the need for rare earth magnets. Fidelitas Defense (United States): An MIT startup, founded by former U.S. Intel Community experts, Fidelitas Defense is a Deep Tech company specializing in Security Posture Management (SPM). We safeguard Physical AI, Autonomous Systems, and Robotics (PAI-ASR) from cyber and insider threats, ensuring trust and resilience in Military & Defense, Healthcare & MedTech, and Maritime & Ports sectors.
Hinalea Imaging (United States): Hinalea intelligent hyperspectral imaging solutions to enhance and automate complex inspection processes.
Interstellar Space Technologies (United Kingdom): We are transforming how the world manufactures by building autonomous factories in space. Designed for continuous operation, multi-missions, as well as in-space recycling, our orbital factories overcomes Earth’s limits and accelerates high-performance production at scale. The future of manufacturing isn’t just on Earth, it’s already in orbit.
Mobile Monitoring (Poland): Mobile Monitoring provides intelligent water monitoring systems that use AI to detect vessels, pollution, and unauthorized activity in real time. By combining cameras, USV drones, sensors, and automated analytics, we deliver instant alerts and actionable insights. Our plug-and-play platform supports critical infrastructure, ports, and coastal zones, offered as a flexible Monitoring-as-a-Service solution.
PolyChord Ltd (United Kingdom) We use a unique next generation data analysis technology to solve real-world problems like SWAP C optimisation and molecular structure enquiry.
SentiSystems AS (Norway): We navigate without GPS and provide the best possible situational awareness.
Shearwater Aerospace (Canada): Smart Flight delivers AI-powered, weather-aware autonomy by combining automated mission planning with real-time, adaptive path adjustments. It continuously optimizes routes based on micro-weather, terrain, and airspace conditions while intelligently harnessing wind energy to enable drone fleets to fly up to eight times longer and 30% faster.
SKYCORP Technologies (Estonia): SKYCORP Technologies develops and produces long endurance hydrogen drones and related infrastructure for first responders and critical infrastructure inspection and security. The company is building the green autonomous ecosystem of drone-based services capable of covering entire countries.
Sorair Technologies (United Kingdom): Sorair Technologies helps Industrial/security companies save on security labour costs while enhancing operations by providing Autonomous Surveillance Systems, which is an AI-powered unified surveillance platform that connects with sensors, cameras & autonomous vehicles/drones enabling them to work together autonomously without human intervention to monitor complex industrial sites by automating patrols, detection of threats and incident response procedures.
Stanhope AI (United Kingdom): Our Free Energy Minimizing (FEM) world model was launched in drones to demonstrate the emergent autonomy of this novel AI architecture. The model controls the drone behaviours and enables flexible mission planning with human machine teaming. The agent (our drone) can describe its reasoning and decision-making and was put to the test with three distinct real-world missions.
Tethys Robotics AG (Switzerland): Tethys Robotics automates subsea operations with AI-powered robots, making underwater inspection, maintenance, and data collection faster, safer, and more cost-effective.
Umnai (United Kingdom): Explainability, certainty and trust at world-beating predictive performance We solve the trust, transparency, sustainability, and compliance challenges blocking advanced AI adoption by enterprises in high-impact applications using our Hybrid Intelligence Platform, built on a new foundational framework for Neuro-symbolic AI.
VICTUS Technologies (United States): VICTUS Technologies transforms existing drones and robots into smart teammates. Our modular, GPS-free autonomy enables single-operator swarms for battlefield, disaster response, and precision agriculture powered by clean energy. U.S.-built AI simulation slashes cost, outpaces threats, and saves lives when seconds matter.
Vizgard (United Kingdom): Vizgard is a veteran-owned UK SME developing a sovereign visual AI platform that transforms any defence or security camera into an autonomous, robotic teammate. Our platform operates across edge and cloud, is sensor- and platform-agnostic, and is critical to the future of UK defence, security, and national resilience.
SUSTAINABLE FOOD
BNS Worldwide (United Kingdom): BNS is a biotech company transforming the agri-food industry by reducing food waste through natural, sustainable solutions. Our flagship innovation, Life Cover, is a plant-based input that extends the shelf life of fresh produce without fungicides. By empowering farmers and exporters with circular economy tools, we enhance food quality, lower losses, and promote a cleaner, more resilient global food system.
Eden Genetics Ltd (United Kingdom): Eden Genetics is pioneering a new paradigm in protein production by applying AI to every stage of the precision fermentation process. Our AI-driven platform designs protein-producing organisms end-to-end, cutting costs, timelines, and failure rates. We enable scalable, animal-free protein manufacturing for the food, cosmetics and specialty enzyme markets‚ transforming global protein production and reducing environmental impacts.
FibreFolks (United Kingdom): 9 out of 10 adults in the UK, EU, and US consume only about 60% of the recommended 30g of fibre daily. Inspired by ancient Asian fermentation, Fibre Folks uses special microbes to ferment wheat, creating a 100% British, additive-free flour packed with 14g fibre and 17g protein per 100g‚ aiming for 30g of each within 3 years.
Grub Club (United States): Grub Club makes hypoallergenic, gut-friendly dog food using insect protein, a super digestible, planet-friendly alternative to meat. Our recipes are vet-approved, made in the UK, and packed with functional ingredients to support sensitive tummies, itchy skin, and overall wellbeing. Each dog switching can save up to 1.5 tons of CO2eq. emissions per year.
Polliknow (Ireland): Biodiversity decline can’t be reversed if we can’t measure it. Polliknow revolutionizes conservation by tracking insect pollinators remotely—delivering unprecedented data volumes at a fraction of traditional costs. We don’t just monitor biodiversity—we empower its recovery.
Steribake (Sweden): We are an innovative foodtech company that has developed a groundbreaking technology, under the brand Steribake, for sterilizing flour‚ patented globally. Our unique process enables the creation of sterile cake and batter mixes (such as ready-to-use pancake, waffle, muffin, and sponge cake batter) that can be stored at room temperature without preservatives or additives ‚ offering a solution that combines long shelf life with a clean label.
Sustainable Planet (United Kingdom): Sustainable Planet grows water lentils on non-arable land. We use 20 times less water but produce 10 times more yield than soybeans, reducing the risk of global protein shortages and deforestation. Water lentils offer high nutritional value and protein. With low-cost infrastructure, we create jobs for disadvantaged communities and supports small farmers. It also contributes to carbon reduction and generates carbon credits. We also support all UN SDGs.
The Bland Company (United Kingdom): The Bland Company is a biotech startup turning agri byproducts into high-performance ingredients‚ starting with cost-efficient protein alternatives for the $100B egg market. They’re repeat founders, already in trials with major food manufacturers in the US and Europe, with R&D in India.
SUSTAINABLE & EFFICIENT INDUSTRY
Mukuru Clean Stoves (Kenya): Mukuru Clean Stoves is a social enterprise that recycles waste metal to manufacture clean cookstoves and agricultural waste to manufacture mosquito repellent fuels, and distributes them to the last mile through a network of local women business owners, giving underserved communities the strongest barriers against household air pollution and malaria!

AreteMedical (United Kingdom): The Respicorder is for asthma what CGM is for diabetes – transforming management from reactive to preventive through timely monitoring. Starting with an integrated clinical diagnostic that combines three essential measurements, we’re building the platform for comprehensive respiratory care.
