Our 2023 UK Winner: Kestrix

Lucy Lyons from Kestrix UK, pitches at MassChallenge Switzerland Awards 2023
Lucy Lyons, pitching at the Swiss Ceremony Awards on October 26, 2023.

Founded in 2022, Kestrix is a PropTech company on a mission to scale retrofit with data. Through mass thermal image capture and AI, Kestrix gives full visibility on how building stock leaks – helping optimise retrofit planning and pricing and verify retrofit outcomes.

Their impact

Heating and cooling buildings we live, work, and play in contributes to 10%+ of global emissions. With 80% of buildings that will exist in 2050 already standing – and a fuel poverty crisis looming  – retrofitting buildings for efficiency is one of the most efficient, cost-effective, and equitable ways to decarbonise the economy.

Kestrix wins the 2023 MassChallenge Switzerland Golden Prize

“MassChallenge enabled real time with corporate partners to validate our solution in a relaxed environment with top decision makers. Further the community of other startups who we met and spent time together – we loved getting to know others especially on the UK track. Also, the funding will help us gain positive publicity, spend some money on marketing that we did not originally have and gain almost another month of runway, which makes a difference for fundraising”.
