BOSTON (January 8, 2015) MassChallenge announced it has named
Scott Bailey as the Managing Director of the global accelerators
Boston program. In this newly created role, Bailey will oversee the
largest and most established program within the global accelerators
growing family. Additionally, MassChallenge executives have appointed
Roman Kern as Senior Director of Programs and Operations for
MassChallenge Boston.
Bailey has served as a key member of the MassChallenge team since
its early days in 2010. Prior to becoming Managing Director for
MassChallenge Boston, Scott was Senior Director of Partnerships,
raising $4M+ of cash and $10M+ of in-kind sponsorships in 2014 to
support MassChallenge. He also played a major role in securing their 5
year lease at 21 Drydock Ave. In addition, Bailey has worked closely
with MassChallenge founders over the past four years to cultivate a
vast network of supporters who are committed to the organization and
its startups.
While managing the Boston program, Bailey and Kern will work closely
with the organizations Board of Advisors to refine and expand the
programs core offerings. Those in the MassChallenge community can
expect to see new initiatives to support growth and success of the
startups, alumni, mentors, partners and other stakeholders.
