Boston, MA April 14, 2025 – On April 10, MassChallenge hosted RESOLVE 2025: The MassChallenge Showcase and Awards, a celebration of the bold entrepreneurs and innovative startups transforming massive challenges into real-world solutions.
This year’s event marked a significant milestone—15 years since MassChallenge’s founding—and welcomed Governor Maura Healey alongside more than 300 guests to the State Room in Boston. The evening was a reflection on past progress and a launchpad for MassChallenge’s bold new vision: to become the leading global destination for startups solving humanity’s massive challenges.
Before the awards ceremony, attendees explored the Startup Showcase, where 30 alumni from MassChallenge’s global network exhibited breakthrough innovations in climate, healthcare, dual use, security, fintech, and social impact.
The awards reception opened with remarks from MassChallenge Board President, William “Mo” Cowan followed by remarks from Gov. Healey, who spoke about Massachusets position as a leading innovation hub. Guests also witnessed a keynote conversation between Craig J. Lewis, Board Member and Founder of Gig Wage, and Mike Massaro, Founder and CEO of Flywire. The fireside chat emphasized the power of resilience, the critical need for depth and connectivity in founder support, and the importance of ecosystems that empower entrepreneurs for the long term.
MassChallenge also honored Joshua Boger, who has been an instrumental figure in the organization’s history with the Deval L. Patrick Commonwealth Innovation Award. Originating back in 2014, the award recognized Boger whose outsized contributions have enabled MassChallenge’s mission since its inception.

They are advancing climate resilience, health equity, financial access, national security, and sustainable development. These are the Contenders—those bold enough to challenge the status quo and driven enough to shape what comes next.”
Each year, the RESOLVE Awards recognizes top startups who participated in one of MassChallenge’s zero-equity accelerator programs.
