Ginger

Ginger was founded in 2011 by a team of entrepreneurs and data scientists at the MIT Media Lab who sought to build the world’s first mental health technology platform. Through smartphone-based technology, the platform was designed to identify patterns of anxiety, stress and depression, and alert patients and their healthcare providers to deliver care.

One of the earlier startups to in MassChallenge’s history, Ginger (formerly ginger.io) is a 2011 U.S. Early Stage alum. Quickly after the completion of industry-agnostic accelerator, Ginger raised $6.5 million in Series A funding. Over the past 10 years, Ginger has raised over $200m in funding, and has grown.

Ginger has significantly expanded its technology and services to workplace organizations, mental health providers, training programs, and research tools.
