The NEO is a nasally inserted device that obstructs the esophagus to prevent pulmonary aspiration of stomach contents. The esophageal balloon is secured to a rod, which allows the device to move without disrupting the seal. This allows the device to resist dislodgment during advance airway techniques, patient movement and patient transport. The device allows for seamless transfer from bag mask ventilation all the way to definitive airway management with an endotracheal tube.
