WMC started as a class project between 10 students here at TCU. The goal was to make some damn good coffee and make a business out of the $1,000 we collected together. Well we decided: Whiskey + Coffee... By aging our beans in whiskey/bourbon barrels the 'tang' found in most coffees goes away and you get the smell and aftertaste from the whiskey/barrels.
